Annika turned 13 this past March, and is very quickly on her way to becoming 14~! She's quite the mature young lady and is a true "girly girl" at heart. Annika's favorite things to do includes cooking, baking, sewing, photograhphy, and anything to do with the two babies.
She is one of the sweetest and most naturally instinctive "little moms". She just adores Aurick and Aramis, and is truly one of my biggest helpers by far! She not only likes being with them, but she LOVES it. She loves to try and challenge them to grow and develope and it just seems to come so naturally for her. She's going to make an amazing mother if she ever chooses that in her lifetime.
Annika is also one who LOVES Science and anything to do with mechanical items. She likes to try and figure out the inner workings of Electric devices, but seems to really enjoy Architecture the most. I can easily picture her becoming an Architect because she loves the building process as well as the beauty of the buildings themselves.
She recently attended a week-long sleep-away camp where she made many friends instantly. She LOVED not only the quiet time away from all of the siblings, but she absolutely LOVED the camp experience and meeting new people. On the surface she seems very quiet and introverted, but once you get to know her, she's anything but that. She's honest, open, fun, truthful, sweet, gentle and kind. She's always willing to help people and sees the need for something and will just go ahead and DO it rather than waiting for someone to ask for it.
In addition to all of this, Annika is ADVENTUROUS! At camp she learned the High Ropes and took Canoing, and had a BLAST with both of them. I think the High Ropes and climbing will be a new found passion for her. She's always enjoyed climbing on the faux Rock Climbing Walls, but I'm thinking that those will no longer be acceptable to her now that she's found a taste of the real stuff! She learned phrases such as "On Belay", "Belay is on", "Climbing" "climb away". We'll now have to find her someone to go climbing with, since this is NOT a sport mom is going to take up anytime soon! :-)

Becky,
So, so nice to hear from you! Congratulations on number 8!
It will be fun to keep up with you and yours through the world of blog - I love it!
I'm thrilled that you were able to meet my little man, Eamon. He is a true delight and constant source of inspiration. Maeve and Myles simply adore him - God knew, and prepared their hearts with the capacity for great amounts of love and patience. They are all my heros!
Much love to you, Tracy XO
